Final Event - Bars

Results: 3rd out of 20.

At Level 2, the gymnasts only perform on the low bar.

Already after this competition, her coach has her group working on jumping up to the high bar (approximatly 8ft high!!)

At the end of the meet the girls are ranked based on combined score of all events.

If they were placing the girls, Julia would have placed 4th overall. Great accomplishment for her very first competition.

Julia had a great time and is looking forward to her next meet that will be on the weekend of June 13-14 in Oshawa. Anyone interested in going to support Julia contact me (Alicia) and I'll let you know the details when I know.

Third Event - Vault

Julia is running along the back of the gym over the vault in the back right corner of the gym.

Vault is her least favorite event - she's just started to get over the vault on her own. For vault at her level they land on their back on a big mat. They run two vaults, but somehow we only taped one vault.

Second Event - Floor

Julia did great, but she needs to work on connecting her tumbling runs.

For a first performance in front of a crowd she did wonderful.

First Event - Beam

This was Julia's first event - Beam.

Results: 2nd in her group of 20

Note: She is not performing to the music.
